You can use whichever Bible you have. The advantage of the NIrV Bible in Adventures is the larger print that is more suitable for younger children and the "readability" factor. The teacher's manual lists both passage and page number. You'll be fine with whatever.
Also, you didn't ask this, but it is common one with Adventures and scripture memory. You can have your child do memory work in the translation preference of your family.
