Special needs family excited to return to MFW

I have a 12 year old son (ADD, Dyslexia, Slow Learner), and also a 9 year old daughter who struggles as well. We used Adventures 2 years ago, and LOVED it, but last school year we decided to take a break from everything except for Reading and Math. Unfortunately the kids didn't make much progress! ...

These seem to stay sharp longer and the leads don't break as bad when you sharpen them. they also have nice colors. I found mine at my local $1 store. They of course don't hav...

Teresa, I too understand what you are saying. I'm using CtG with a 13 yo and this has been one of our best years yet. I thought I should go with advanced textbooks to get ready for high school, and I did for algebra and math, but I am so glad I chose to try mfw. It has been so awesome to be done wit...

It's wonderful

I have seen so many posts of people wondering whether God and the History of Art is worth ordering. Well, we are almost finished with our 2nd week of CtG and just finished lesson 4 in this book. I just have to say, it's wonderful. It gives short easy lessons that are great for teaching drawing. My d...

Our first feast

We had our Sabbath Feast last night from CtG. It probably wasn't perfect as dh and dd were not home but the boys and I enjoyed it. Ds 13 filled in for dad with part of the blessings. Dinner was very nice, we ended up having Spaghetti which went really well with the bread. The tablecloth, china, and ...

Re: Read Alouds Favorites?

Bronze Bow is one of my all time favorte books:-) I just had to sit back and imagine what it would be like having Jesus walking through my town, actually seeing him and hearing his voice. This book is awesome. I read Door in the Wall to ds a couple of years ago and it was good too. Don't know about ...

Or if you can't find the cd you could always watch the movie Troy but make sure the dc are no where around as there is one part where you see Achilles totally bare bottom:-O Definately not a child appropriate movie.
