Re: World of Animals question - wk 1 Exp. to 1850

Oh Julie..... Thank you! I feel really really embarrassed now. I knew that I had to be missing something really vital. Thanks for clarifying. This has been our most challenging week 1 so far! :~ I will go pull the green book now and figure out what I was 'supposed' to cover today. I assumed that the...

Anyone else starting a new grade after Christmas?

It's ridiculous, I'm so excited I can hardly wait for school to start again... which for us won't be until Jan 9th (I babysit for a family so we have to follow the school year in our homeschool due to my babysitting). I'm just so excited to FINALLY be starting MFW, after over a year of putting off ...

Re: My daughter wants to go to public school... :-(

I wanted to join in and share what we have chosen to do. Our children are involved in 4-H that meets at the local elementary school once a month. They show animals and love that brief (45 minutes) interaction with their friends. They also take piano lessons each week. A local Baptist chruch has a Sm...

Just wanted to let you know that I can understand your pain and elation as you have your miracle baby. I am eternally grateful for the two blessings that God did give me. It was extremely difficult when I finished K with my son. I knew that he was my final child (I had to have a hysterectomy several...

Re: I'm done, but we aren't

Postby amelasky » Wed May 30, 2012 2:02 pm I have to chime in and add that when I allow my home to become a disaster zone and we get really off schedule, it so affects our school. I had to take an hour yesterday and get a section of our schoolroom in order so that I could function better! I would s...

I had to chime in and give my thanks! So many times I have been in need of a tiny bit of help or encouragement or even needed something clarified. When that happens, my daughter is quick to remind me to ask my friends on the MFW Message board! :) I love it when she does that. I reminds me that I am ...

For those that gave their input, THANKS! This is the first birthday party in about 3 years that isn't "family only" Usually we go somewhere as a family, a children's museum, Six Flags, etc with the cousins and call it a party. This year, he was begging to have a party with invitations, and "goody ba...

Foreign Language - Rosetta Stone headsets, special needs,

I ordered Rosetta Stone Russian from MFW. My DD (8) was using the headphones today while listening to the Russian CD that came with the packet. I had asked her not to use the headphones because she was going into a room by herself with the door closed and I KNEW that inevitably something would happ...

I discovered at the beginning of Kindergarten with my son this year, that he could write equally well with both of his hands. He now writes only with his left hand because he says it "feels better." He eats, bowls and writes left-handed. In baseball, he throws right handed. Shoots hoops right handed...
