Re: What do you use with Singapore math?

I don't normally add anything either except calculadders for drill or we use the math shark and flash cards. When we get to a section that he's struggling with or I need a different way to teach something I take out Mastering Mathematics and let him work with it for a bit and then we move back to Si...

Re: O/T Book Jotham's Journey ??

Tammie, we have the set, and read one each year. My kids love them and Jotham's Journey was their favorite. Nothing in the book sent my radar up, i'll try to dig it out today and look it over again.

How much time do you spend homeschooling?

Hello again...just wanted to get a feel on how much time families spend doing Adventures in My Father's World. Our day normally starts off around 9am and we wrap up right around 11:30am. I have found that we follow the order of subjects that was recommended in the curriculum but don't necessarily f...

Hot diggity dog!!! My DS just gave the best narration

Hot diggity dog!!! My DS just gave the best narration... he's ever given. It was so good I had to give him a treat afterward. :-) That's awesome! I've been thinking about narration lately, and know that it's not a part of our day like it should be. Do you use it for every history, science, and langu...

Last week Monday was a holiday, then my dd got sick so we only accomplished two days of lessons, more or less. What should I do? Make up the work on Monday an...

ADV Science - Did you feel there was enough?

I am just starting Adventures, and as I am looking through the lesson book, often it seems to be missing Science. My children love Science and Experiments. Did you feel there was enough or did you supplement with library books/other projects? Maybe once we get going it will be enough, it just doesn...
