Re: Career Interest Testing?

Thanks, Julie! I was starting to hear crickets out here! lol! HSLDA does have a list of these types of assessments on their website, but I'm hesitant to just throw a dart at one. I really want to hear from someone who has used a specific one and their impressions of it. I will talk to the hubs about...

Career Interest Testing?

Wondering if anyone has had their high schooler take a career/interest/aptitude test? If so, can you recommend it? Our son is a Junior, and really has no idea what he want's to pursue in life, or at least he doesn't think he does. We'd like to at least get a couple of ideas of what he might be good ...

Re: US to 1877 Quizzes and key?

Thank you, Julie. I really did not make it clear what I needed. I was hoping to find the answers to the "Section Quizzes" in the BJU US History text. But now, I'm not even sure those count in the final grades. I also think those are more "open book" quiz questions, and not tests. Thank you for this ...

US to 1877 Quizzes and key?

I know I'm probably overlooking this, but is there a separate booklet for the quizzes and quiz key? Or do we just use notebook paper for quiz answers and find the key elsewhere??

Thanks,

Audible or Spotify?

Related to my earlier question about audiobooks for assigned high school classics, I'm wondering about the differences/similairites, the pros and cons of Audible vs. Spotify. I actually need to check if you can even get audiobooks on Spotify. Looking for ease of use, value for your money, etc... Tha...

Audio CD's for US to 1877

Wanting to purchase a couple of audiobooks for this year. We live in a small town and are on the road a couple of times a week for music lessons, doctor appointments, ACT prep class. We have always used this time for listening to school-related material. I'd like to have suggestions from anyone who ...

Career Assessment Tests

Good morning, everyone! Wondering if anyone has had their high-schooler take a Career/Interest Assessment test? Was it helpful? DS has just started 11th grade (US to 1877) and we are wanting to make some choices of classes to take based on his future interests. (We have choices to make for science a...

CLEP US History I- details

Hi, mfwmb fam!

I'm investigating the CLEP US History test...
I can't seem to find out what is required on the test. Facts? Essay? Multiple choice?
Also, how does one actually take the test? At a testing site? Online? Do they charge for that, in addition to the CLEP PREP book?

Thanks!

High School- British Lit

Looking for answers to the questions in the British Lit book. Can anyone direct me?
They are not in the back of the book, nor can I find them in the TM.

Thanks!

Exploring World History Vol. 2/ In Their Words

I was given some used MFW curriculum by a friend, but the ITW was out of date and they didn't have the EWH2. Looking for recommendations for getting my hands on these two books. Because I don't need Vol 1 of EWH, I can't justify the cost of buying the set of 3 new, but finding them separately is dif...

Where are the new foreign-language lesson plans?

Also, are the old RS lesson plans still available?

Thanks,

Looking for "The Watchman" from In Their Words...

Lil' help here, please? The weekly grid says read "The Watchman" on pages 74-75 in "In Their Words", but we can't find it anywhere.... Is that a poem, a hymn or a title? My son and I have both looked for it in the index, table of contents, etc....Surely I am overlooking it or completely searching in...

Re: WHL-Julius Caesar

Well, Ladies (and gentlemen!), I stumbled upon a resource for Julius Caesar that I thought I'd share. It's a CD by Jim Weiss and Greathall Productions about Julius Caesar and a brief history leading up to his reign. I forgot we had it, :~ but I found it and it really helps set the scene and clear up...

WHL- Supply list available?

I expect our 'box" to arrive at the end of this week, but I have to be in the city today. I'd like to be able to get any school supplies on the list while I am there (an hour away), since we don't have many options in my small town. Would it be possible to get the WHL supply list?

Thanks!
