Zebra stripes craft

Here is a link to a craft to do zebra stripes. It has an outline of a zebra to print, and then it suggests gluing stripes on with black paper. My girls really enjoyed it - the oldest got to work on cutting skills, etc. God bless - Liesl

Here are some good books we used:

Ants by Deborah Hodge - very informational with lots of good projects
Bugs are Insects by Anne Rockwell - good pictures, informational
The Roly Poly Spider by Jill Sardegna - very cute book - my kids love it and we sing it all the time

Teaching letters and numbers with lotion

At bedtime the girls ask for lotion, and I started writing letters and numbers on their hands with it. We just went in order a to z and 1 to 20, one each night. It was a great way to teach and fun for them, but it gets hard with little hands!
