Skills needed for AHL?
Hello, I'm wondering what skills would need to be in place for a student to be ready to begin AHL for 9th grade? This would be for a student that is not coming from a MFW background.
I'm especially interested in writing skills/English. Thanks!

Re: National Geographic, God's World
Hello, We get the Kids version of Nat Geo and my kids really enjoy it. It's secular, obviously, but there hasn't been any questionable content so far. The issues are heavily animal-based, but also include articles about different areas of interest found around the world. I would describe the magazin...

Re: Adventures Tag-Along What to Order? And other stuff
Misty, thank you! I really appreciate hearing how you approached things when combining. Combining makes a lot of sense here especially as I juggle other things. I don't know how larger families do it! I could see us working it out how you mentioned and being successful. Did you do the "I Can Do All ...

Re: School Year
I plan to do like Baileymom and move into our 2nd grade (Adventures) program as soon as I feel like we are ready for the transition. If I see that my daughter needs some additional time to cement some grade 1 skills, I'll use that "additional time" in grade 1 to work on those. I'm thinking things li...
