Re: New homeschooler needs encouragement

Hello!! My kiddos have never been to PS so take this with a grain of salt please. . . I truly believe that if you have felt the call of the Lord to homeschool someone else has also heard the call for you to bring your family closer to God and wants to have his say in the matter. I believe that Satan...

MFW1 is getting harder!

As I have written before, I have previous experience with MFW1 back in 2009/10. My experience was a lot different because my oldest son, Ethan, was a "natural" learner and loved workbook stuff. Younger son Evan is not quite as quick to learn how to read and has a shorter attention span. We've hit d...

What activities have benefited your home school the most? I keep thinking that I want to integrate service into our home school at some point. My oldest needs more social interaction. Making sure I am on the right track and teacher question

I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself and family as well as make sure I am on the right track. My hubby and I have four boys ages 5, 4, 2, and 1. Neither one of us were homeschooled as children so this is a new, very exciting adventure for us. I wanted to make sure that I have a good ...

ISO Advice for starting a local homeschool group

We are in our first year of homeschooling this year and my son is an 11 yr old boy, only child. We live in the country, so there are no children for him to play with. Our town doesn't have a local support group. I've found a group that is 45 minutes away, which we have joined, but that isn't conven...

I am new to this also and we have just started K about a month ago. We are using a expandable file with 26 pockets and I have doubled up on the 1st one with creation. I keep all the worksheets in there and anything I come across for each unit in it's own pocket. We hang the calendar and 100 chart on...
