Re: Too late to start Singapore?

We took the singpore test at the beginning of this year and she tested into 4a. Of course I'd test her again if we chose to switch, so I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to get caught up for 7th grade. I appreciate everyones responses! It is good to know that it has been done and worked out well for ...

Re: Can I be real? So frustrated

You are definitely not alone! As a matter of fact just as I'm sitting here I sent both of my boys to their rooms b/c they won't stop fighting... and it's Friday night, for goodness sakes! Ten minutes ago I gave them the warning that if they didn't cut it out they were going to their rooms b/c I'm ti...

Re: Writing Strands 3, Lesson 7

Thanks for the replies, ladies. We've been back and forth with WS and I really want to stick with one thing and quit switching around with my dd. I just want to make sure we're going at it the "right" way in hopes that it will stick this time!

Re: tell me about Writing Strands

Since we plan to go with most all of MFW suggestions next year, and because we weren't happy with the language arts/writing we were using, I went ahead and purchased and began using Writing Strands with her a few weeks ago. We have been quite happy with it so far, without any complaints from my dd. ...

Re: 1st grade questions...

Thanks ladies for your insight! I understand that feeling. I have two that are 15 months apart and everything is a completion and big brother doesn’t take it well when he is beat. This is definitely the issue for us as well! I am assuming you used MFW-1 with him this year? No, we didn't use MFW-1. I...

Re: Is it difficult to do both ECC and K or 1st together?

Wow, thanks so much for all your input! Lots of great ideas! I hadn't even considered being able to break up his day, that will definitely make things work better for us. I guess I assumed it needed to be done in one sitting!?! I'm sure I'll get a better understanding of it all once I get my hands o...

Re: Teacher Guides for Singapore math

Thanks ladies! I really don't want to spend the extra $, so thanks for your help. I'll probably try without at first and then add the TG if I feel it's necessary.
