Thanks to all of you for your thorough and thoughful responses to my questions! I really do not want to purchase an additional history program, and would rather tweak something, so I appreciate hearing how others have made this program work for a variety of ages.

Hello, I am considering using EX1850 in the fall for my about-to-be 6th, 4th and 1st grade children. Are the 2nd/3rd grade supplemental materials scheduled into the Teacher's Guide, or is there a separate TG that I would purchase? Would these materials be appropriate for a first grader?
