One other thought that may be of help. My son's tutor taught him some hand motions to help with the mixup of "b", "d", and "p". He doesn't always use them, but it does help when he does. This can help any emerging reader who struggles with letter reversal, dyslexic or not. I'll do my best to explain...

My son is currently in first grade in public school, and has been diagnosed as dyslexic (outside of school, his school won't even consider dyslexia as a possibility until 3rd grade, but that's a whole other discussion :)). We're tentatively planning to homeschool him with Adventures next year. As an...
