LLFT 5th grade

Is there an estimate on when LLFT 5th grade will be ready? We are starting our new school year the second week of June. I'm wondering if it will be done or if I should just go ahead and do two orders. I was hoping to order it at the same time to save on shipping.

Re: Looking for PenPals for my DD & DS

We may be interested. My son is 10, 11 in the summer and is interested in a penpal. My daughter is only 8 though, so she would be a little young for youd dd. I know you were hoping for siblings. I am waiting to hear back from someone else in regards to a penpal for him. It has been a week, so I'm no...

Re: 2 questions about ECC and K together

I am doing Adv and K this year as well. I have a 3 ring for Adv and one for K that I put the grids in. I write in math and language arts. As I highlight what we did for the day, I write in the next days assignment. First we do Bible, then I do all of my 2nd graders math and language arts. If there i...

I also love the new Language Lessons for Today! So much easier to teach from! I feel like my son is getting much more out of the lessons now.

Re: Using PLL, should I order the new version?

Yes, that does help! My son made a similar jump when he turned 6 with reading. We struggled for a year with him not getting blending. All of a sudden, it was no big deal after he turned 6. I've been wondering if a similar jump will happen in writing and spelling. We are slowly starting to move faste...

Re: 3rd, 1st, and pre-k

I am doing Adventures with a 2nd, K, and 3 year old right now. I LOVE the idea of having a different box of toys for each day of the week. I have been thinking of doing something similar. I wish I had bought the student pages for Adventures. My three year old wants to be included as much as possible...

Re: Why can't I find any long term MFW users?

I don't know that we could be called long term users yet, but we love MFW! We are working through Adv this yr and have done K and 1st. I am on my second time through K. I already have ECC and I can't wait to start it in August! We did have a bit of a rocky start and almost left MFW for Sonlight. Aft...

Re: ECC for 3rd?

I will have a 3rd and 1st next year along with a 3 almost 4 year old and newborn. We are currently doing Adv and planning to do ECC next year. I already have ECC. After looking it over this past week, I think it will be perfect for us. I have two copies of the student sheets, passport, and flag stic...

Re: PLL Question

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. Sorry I haven't replied. I haven't signed on in several days. Trish, I have told him a sentence is a complete thought. If I give him a phrase and a sentence, he can tell me which is a sentence, but he has difficulty changing a phrase to a sentence himself. Fo...

Re: How to store preK activity cards?

I laminated and hole punched them. Right now I have them all on one ring, but it is a bit bulky. I want to get more rings so I can devide them according to the toys and then store the cards for each toy with that toy. Then I will just flip a card around each time I use it to keep track of where I'm ...

Re: MFW1st/MUS/AAR/Adventures.... help?!

I think you could easily do 1st along with AAR and MUS. I plan to do first along with AAR and Right Start math. We subbed these in for MFW K as well. I had considered skipping first as well, but I really don't want miss everything else in first!

Books for boys?

My husband and I are looking for new chapter books for our boys. We started the Magic Tree House series last year but it was getting a little "too magical" for us. Anyone have any suggestions or know anything about any of the ones listed below? Thanks for your help! Kelly Homeschool Mom to triplet ...

Re: First and Adventures

Thanks for the encouragement! I think that is what I am leaning towards. That way I don't have to dish out more money to complete the first grade curriculum and be able to use it this year. Although I think my ds might enjoy the Bible and Science in First grade more than what we are doing this year,...
