Re: Is 7 too old to start K?

Thank you ladies for your replies. Your words are very comforting. I get so hung up on age/grade thing. Even in the MFW K manual says "for 5-year-old" and I start feeling that old panicky feeling. So I was trying to decide if I should just go ahead and use MFW K or try to find another curriculum tha...

Re: Switching from Sonlight?

Hello! I'm on my seventh time around with the MFWK. It is delight to use and creates such precious memories for the little ones. My older children still remember with whimsy the Creation books they made. I'm not sure which Sonlight program you are using, but many of their reading books go along very...

Re: 1850 to Modern Timline?

Thank you for the replies! I've been looking through the TM and the STOW activity book to get an idea of how it works. I think where my confusion is where the reading schedule jumps chapters. For example on CH 2 Japan Re-Opens is scheduled later, but do I go ahead and put the timeline on now or wait...

Re: Old vs. New K program

Everything that Crystal said. This if our fourth time around with K. I like the new. The layout is very efficent and makes teaching time seamless. The math worksheets are fun and the badges are great. The Teacher Manual is so easy to use. I'm glad I went with the new.

Re: ALS for US History to 1877?

I'm following this thread with interest. My oldest was only able to do AHL and WHL because the US1 and 2 did not exist then. I'm looking forward to using US1&2 with 2nd child.
