Re: Alternative/modification to the Odysey in Ancient History/Lit 9th grade

Hi Julie, I'm sorry I never thanked you for your response! I appreciate you taking the time to get back with me about this. My daughter actually stuck with the Odyssey by listening and following along in the book and really enjoyed it. Greek mythology has been her favorite part of school so I'm so h...

Re: need high school parenting curriculum ideas

I forgot to add that we are doing 1850-modern times this year and I don't see anything in the curr. that could satisfy that requirement. Thanks!

need high school parenting curriculum ideas

Hi, I'm in CA and to be in compliance my daughter needs to take a parenting class this year (9th) because we didn't do it in middle school. I've scoured the home school curr. sites and can't seem to find any. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

Re: Choosing Math

We've been using MAth U See for years. My daughter is dyslexic and has dyscalculia so it was very challenging to find her a program that she could tolerate and I could teach. We're in Algebra 1. We watch the short videos together and I reteach it to her and sometimes have to teach it differently (af...

Re: Apologia Online science classes-anyone tried them?

thank you, Julie for that info. I had not heard of the virtual homeschooling group. I found www.virtualhomeschoolgroup.org. Is this the site? That's great that it is so reasonably priced. I was willing to pay the Apologia price of $16 a lesson through apologia and that's just for the video instructi...
