Re: question about 7th grade grammar

We have decided to use mfw recommendation for grammar. My ds is in the 7th grade and currently working through rod and staff 6th grade text. It is obvious from what i was using that he has had some grammar. Would I still need to use the all in one book? Should i have him do the applications in gram...

Thanks for the replies! We are currently doing EEC (although weeks behind schedule). I have decided to do CTG next year. Son in 7th grade is behind in some subjects (we pulled him out of ps in April be/c they were so far behind). We've talked about possibly delaying the highschool level another year...

Thanks for the great idea of focusing on Christmas Around the World and Giving! I was panicking a little about the upcoming holiday season and how to manage school. We'll be starting Europe after Thanksgiving, but would have to take a break in that for Christmas, and feel I wouldn't cover it as well...

Happy Hubby!

I came downstairs Saturday morning to find my husband reading our copy of Cameron Townsend. He said ' I am soooo proud of you, for reading these types of books to the kids! If I had stuff like this to read when I was their ages, I would have been a totally different person!" (not going through the d...

Thanks in advance to those who answer!
Is there a reason French Guiana is not on the list of countries? It is physically in S. America.

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. Ds 12 leaves for the school bus at 7:20am, so starting before that is not a realistic option for me. I do need to get the other 2 up by 7am and be ready to start school at 8am at the latest. I know that would help our mornings. Hubby has said he will make s...

Nature journal: How do you adhere dried leaves to paper?

My kids are using a sketch book for their nature journals this year, so each page won't be placed in a page protector as we have done with previous nature notebooks. What is the best way to adhere dried leaves to paper that won't have a protective covering? I thought about using contact paper but w...

Feeling a little isolated

Dear all, I started MFW K a couple weeks ago. We are doing so much cool stuff, but I am struggling cause for whatever reason I don't have a best girl friend in my life right now. I do all these fun things with the kids, and feel like I have no one to share it with. I am joining coop in a month and ...

Crystal, What timing for your post! I was just looking through the Global Art book this afternoon. I am trying to plan out the first several weeks. I know my kids would love the sand project, but I don't think I could handle it. I like your scaled-down version a lot! Let us know what other ones you ...
