U.S. History high school
Can someone quickly tell me where the answers to the BJU History tests are? I've looked everywhere and I cannot find them.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: AHL - mapping?
Thank you Julie and Tricia. That makes sense. I didn't know they provided maps for AHL.

Re: Story of the World
This is one of the reasons that I seriously considered other curriculums a few years ago. That being said, I have continued on with MFW using the SOTW books. I have not come across anything yet and it's probably because MFW doesn't use Vol. 1.

Thank you both for your answers. I'm still thinking about this one. I may hold off since even my 13 year old is pretty sensitive.

New to homeschooling and MFW
Hello Everyone! This August will be our first time homeschooling and we are super duper excited! We have wanted to homeschool for the past three years, but only now are able to do so. God has blessed us so much, opened doors that have allowed us to be able to homeschool. We both still work, but I w...

Re: ex-1850 science
This is exactly what we're going to be doing when we start back in July. We will be in Expl-1850 and my 6th and 7th graders will be doing that science together (Botany and Animals). Then the following year my 7th and 8th graders will end up starting General Science and doing it together. I think it ...

Re: Foreign Language?
We started using a foreign language when my oldest was in 2nd grade. We chose Spanish because we live in Texas. We have used La Clase Divertida and have absolutely loved it. It's geared for the elementary ages and has fun activities, cooking, songs, etc. My kids have had so much fun using it. We wil...

Re: How do your kids "do" school?
We have a school room and my kids always color something while I'm reading. When they tire of that they will sometimes lay on the window seat cushions and just lounge while listening to me. I agree that as long as they're listening and retaining then I don't really care.

Re: The Grass is not greener on the other side...
I just wanted to throw my two cents in. We have used MFW for 3 years now and have loved it. BUT back in May we had finished about 11 weeks of CtG and I started to feel the "pull" also. After taking a break, doing weeks upon weeks of research and prayer, my DH and I suddenly had a peace come over us ...

Re: Prayer needed
We are in Texas in a rural area and have had the "friend problem" or, lack of, I should say. We've tried to find that in the church we've attended and nope, zip, zilch....people are just not interested. With my kids we've usually done just family also except for a few years when we were good friends...

Re: I wish people could see the book basket
Just wanted to add that we are finishing up with Adventures in about a week and this was our first year with MFW. Prior to this year, we used Sonlight. My son and daughter have absolutely LOVED book basket and we actually have read probably 90% of the books on the list. They have had such a wonderfu...

Re: Compare MFW?
I wanted to throw my two cents in also. With K I was overall pretty happy. When we started using Core 1 something started bothering me about it. At first I really couldn't put my finger on it. After much prayer I realized there were several things that I was not comfortable with. For instance, I rea...

I am doing Adventures with my 8 year old and 6 year old this year. We are doing the science that goes along with Adventures but we're also adding in the Apologia elementary too. This year we are doing Flying creatures (kind of goes along with the science in Adventures with birds). Next year with ECC...
