Re: Economics In a Box High School - grading

Thanks Lucy - I already set some guidelines including what you mentioned except I included the three exams. I didn't see any quizzes.
Glad to know I was on the right track.

Re: WHL- High School Week 31 World War II Writing Assignment

Thanks Julie. After reading your post and chatting with my daughter, we decided to go a little different route. She asked to write a post war letter to Corrie from the vantage point of a Jew who had been preserved in the hiding place. So that's what we are going with. Thanks for the response - I app...

Re: US1 - Thinking Like a Christian

Nothing like answering my own question.... :-) Popped in the CD (didn't spend a lot of time there) and it is a teacher resource with outline/questions, printables for groups....... Basics look a whole lot like the MFW teacher guide for TLC. So if the teacher guide gets lost, this could be used as a ...

High school grading question

I need help trying to figure this out. I think I've actually asked this before, but forgot the answer. How do I figure out a grade when part of it is based on one thing, and part another? For instance, Apologia science - 35% of the grade should be based on lab reports, 65% on tests with quarterly t...

Re: High School Service

Thanks for sharing.... I agree that the Bible is worthy of credit on it's own especially OTC... wow..
I got the impression that MFW wants them to be involved weekly and I like that idea, but there are so many other ways to do it.

Thanks again.. hadn't thought of that.

Lots of things I could add, but just a couple of things we did that I didn't see listed that might help: We are big on office supplies over here too and find spending the extra to stay organized is well worth it for us. Re: God & the History of Art

We purchased a nice sketchpad for each student and they used it for God and the History of Art for assignments that would have been photocopied from the book. We rotated the text book and/or shared with it on a table between them when possible/necessary. We used the same sketchpads for nature walks ...

Laundry ----- One thing we do that I did not see listed is I decided years ago to try to do one load per day. (Only 4 people in our household.) Sorry to let you all down --- but we didn't do the lifesize model. Were going to....but opinions were split on whether to do the tabletop or lifesize version....
