Re: 6th grade math - Finish Singapore? Start Saxon?

Thank you both very much. That helps a lot. We'll stick with Singapore one more year. I'm glad to hear there's not tons of new material.

Posted: Sat Jun 02, 2007 9:59 pm Hi all, I am a frequent lurker, but just had to post about an experience I had last week. My church homeschool group did an end of year "favorites fair" where the kids were able to "show off" their favorite thing this year. We did ECC this year. My kids decided to d...

Re: Copywork for a first grader in Adventures

In hindsight I would have enlarged the time line pieces before hanging them (just an idea). My completed time line was about 5 feet long I wo...

Thanks for all the great replies. It's fun to get a little insight into everyones homeschooling life. I must say that my dh has always been very supportive of me in many ways while homeschooling. He definitely turns a blind eye to clutter and chaos in the house, and since I teach piano two nights a ...

Here's what we do with Singapore that has worked for our 7 year old dd. We began in 1B last year. At first I tried to plug through, "We must do 2 pages a day, ok let's go." Well some things were harder for her to master and we just couldn't keep up that pace. When she got stuck, i.e. subtraction wit...
