Postcard Exchange

Posted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 2:29 pm

We have received around 15 postcards so far. What fun!

We decided to hang them around our markable map and then ds draws a line from the card to the state that it belongs to.

It sure is fun to get fun mail for awhile!

Posted: Fri Sep 28, 2007 8:41 pm One thing we have tried is having the child choose the letters he formed the best. He circles them and then I choose the one I like. It helps him to see the ones he did his best on and then will do it that way next time. We still struggle with wanting to rush and "j...

Re: Reading Augustus Caesar's World

Posted: Sun Oct 07, 2007 3:51 pm My kids are 12 and 9 and find it difficult to do narrations for this book, so we are just kind of talking about it as we go along. Just trying to get some of the names and what was going on right before and at the time of Jesus' birth. They do not totally comprehend...

My sister-in-law gave us a card game called Addtraction. The cards have either the plus or minus symbol with a number. The first hand is played using the target number of 10, second hand 11 and so on until 21 I think. You have to make your hand equal the target number. I think you could use regular ...

Another way to listen to the hymns is go to cyberhymnal dot org. Click on titles and you find the title of your hymn and it plays the tune and gives you info on the writer and the person who wrote the tune. We do one hymn per month and listen and sing with the computer about once a day.
