I'm still glad she's doing the first though because I know the next level will be way in over her head and there's so much goo...

This is interesting as my husband is a public high school math teacher and he's the one who helped me decide to go with ECC last year (and thought that it looked very thorough, fun, and educational). He actually told me to do it! My husband has looked at Abeka and didn't like it because it was too m...

Posted: Wed Apr 02, 2008 12:21 am I have used both. I found out about MFW through the forum for my first curriculum. I loved reading to my children....and it is good...but it was just too much everyday. My voice was going all the time, and it seemed we'd take forever with school. Most of the books ...

There's a story on the internet (can find on truth or fiction .com) about Steve Saint and his voyage to Africa and how the story of his father's death had spread to and touched someone else's life. Amazing story![/u]

Placement - Must we start with Geography (ECC)?

Posted: Thu Feb 21, 2008 2:39 pm At first when I was trying to decide what to do for this school year, I wasn't really sure about the ECC because I wasn't sure if that was what we should have been studying......now I know it's been wonderful and exactly what my kids need to be learning. The reason ...

Thank you guys soo much! I will lead her by asking questions because she can't come up with anything at all! She can't even just tell me what the story was about so I guess it'll be best to just ask her, like you mentioned, well who was in the story? what did so and so do? etc. Thanks a bunch..........

Thanks for your replies

Thank you for your replies. I think I'm going to take it easy with her for now......and after her 5th birthday I will purchase the K level for her and go ahead and start. This will give me some time to save up for it as well. Although right now I'm contemplating whether or not to get a handwriting p...
