I think you need to be able to READ cursive writing, and if you don't know how to write in cursive, you may have trouble reading it as well.

My ds labored over sounding out CVC words for what seemed like an endless time, until something 'clicked' in his head (as has been mentioned before). It might even have been close to a year before he was reading without sounding out every word. He is now 6.5 which I know doesn't seem so old, but I w...

We've just ordered our caterpillars. You can either pick the date you want them to come, or say to send them ASAP. If ASAP, they say it will take 1-2 weeks. Since they are coming from California (at least in our case), we expect them to take about 2 weeks, since we live on the opposite coast! Hope t...

Thanks for your input, Kelly. Your right about MFWK capturing what children are interested in.

I wouldn't trade the material I got from MFWK for anything! We have ALL (teacher and students) learned so much already from this curriculum!

** Praise Reports about how God has used MFW-K in our family

I just wanted to say how happy we are with MFW K! I have loved reflecting on how God made our world such a beautiful a place for us to live. I like delving into a particular theme and how science and the Bible are so well-integrated. God has used this program in our lives as a family and I want to t...
