However, I am wondering if we need extra copies of Boy Have I Got Problems for my husband and/or myself when we are in EX1850 next year. Or, is it unrealistic to do the Bible study as a family in the last 2 years, since they are more personal studies?
Anyone who has done years 4 or 5 have experience doing the Bible study as a family? Thanks!
We are doing the James study in Expl to 1850. Some weeks are spent doing the exercises in the book to more fully understand what is being memorized, and some weeks are spent copying the Bible verses onto spiral bound notecards.
I wish I had ordered my own copy of the book so that I could read the questions out loud while each is reading from his book. It would make it easier to discuss out loud. Also, the TM recommends that the teacher memorize the Bible verses too, so if you don't have your own book you have to wait for one of the children to finish so you can borrow their book.
Memorizing the book of James, the way the TM has it organized, has been so inspiring. Because we have gone over what it means, and then try to commit it to memory, it suddenly becomes a part of our everyday actions. I Love this study!
