high school years to leave out, which one would it be?
I would do all of American History in one year, and basically skip the last year.

I do like Dawn's idea.

I was thinking maybe you even move the Government half-credit this year, being an election year, and then you'd have that covered from 11th grade so you can fit in both halves of US History the last year like Dawn mentioned, plus maybe Economics as an elective.

To use the Government half-credit without having the Lesson Plans yet, there are good project ideas in the Under God book. I gave my son an additional half credit in Civics for doing a big project, plus lot of things with our state homeschool group, including mock elections and getting a bill through congress, as well as spending 3 days at our state capitol watching sessions and committees (we live fairly close). There are some good election watching things at CSPAN as well, evaluating political ads and such.

Okay, not sure you were looking for *more* work rather than less ;)
