Thanks for all the helpful suggestions and encouragement. Not sure which route we're going to take yet, but
it sure is nice to know we're not alone!

I posted recently about the possibility of starting my 8th grader in AHL this fall since her brother will be in 9th, and they've always done the majority of school together. However, after much prayer we have come to realize that ds will not be mature enough to get the most benefit from AHL.

I had considered ECC, but was afraid it would be too "juvenile" for my kids. However, it has been several years since we did it so I know they would get so much more out of it second time around. I think another year at a less stressful pace will give us time to focus on chararacter and academics. And I won't be rushing my daughter into AHL in the 8th grade.
Sounds like a plan!
