* When we notebooked the Nicene Creed, I showed my son where it was in our own church bulletin, and he glued that onto his page. I thought it made a nice connection to our lives. And how great that ds knows why this creed was originally written for Christians!
* Some time after we read Revelation, we watched the Left Behind videos. We of course discussed the difference between Bible and "interpretation of Bible." But I think the videos really helped him see how prophecy could come true in our day, not just the "olden days."
* I was going to have ds make a notebook page on Galen after we finished the biography about him. I like to use his notebooks to help review things he's learned in the past.

R2R - Nicene Creed week 13 idea
Rich Mullians has a song called "Creed" that is based on the Nicene Creed. It is paraphrased in a few places and adds a chorus to make it fit to music but it is nearly the exact words. I got it for .99 on itunes and we listened to it today. I am going to have my kids memorize the song since we tend to memorize music more easily.
It is very cool!

Hi,
Welcome to the board!
The above picture is great. We would recommend though not using the summary, but having each child write his own summary. This helps a child to really think about what he has learned and to retain it better if it is his own thoughts. The length of each child's summary will vary of course based on age and ability.

Week 12, Friday Bible reading...
after reading those chapters, we decided to sing The Revelation Song (Phillips Craig and Dean, and/or the Kari Jobe Gateway version). The song comes from the chapter 4 and 5 of Rev, which are the optional reading.
good way to start the day!

Last week (RtR 13) we watched Magic School Bus #2 ("For Lunch") because the topic was Digestion. So fun!

Roman Catacombs
If your family is curious about the Christian catacombs mentioned in Week 12, here's a 1-minute look inside, with an uplifting focus on artwork and the symbols already used in these early days of Christianity.
