I was hoping to incorporate this in when we study a state with Adventures of a state we sent a Stanley to. Has anyone else done this? If so, was it easy to incorporate it? Thanks.

What a great idea!!! I have been wanting to do Flat Stanley and didn't even realize how well it would fit into Adventures. It's definitely going on my school plans for next year! Thanks for sharing.

My nieces and nephews did it in public school and had a blast! (It helps that their other grandma is a professional author.)

I think Julie may have done this??? I remember somebody doing Flat Stanley with MFW . . . it sounds so fun.

My kids all did it in public school. It was amazing how much folks like the grandparents enjoyed bringing the "paperdoll" around to places and photographing him as if he were a tourist :)

P.S. We had a fun conversation about using Flat Stanley with ECC, too:

We tried doing it. Kids were all excited. The first person we gave it to never brought it back. Not sure he understood the concept. :) Oh well.

We did this with ECC when my dad & stepmom went to China to visit (she is from China). What a treat it was to receive their 'Stanley' back from China with some great pictures. Plus my dad included a comical and memorable story of 'Stanleys' trip and sent their names written in Chinese with the meanings of their names. We have kept this on our bookshelf as they still enjoy looking back on this!

That sounds fun! May have to do it. Maybe add the pics to the state notebook?
