Interesting article about world maps.

Thanks for sharing that! I love maps, even moreso since doing ECC with my son and finally understanding them :)

We have a pacific-centered map, which has some things in common with your link, giving a different perspective. It surely helped with understanding the connection of North America to Russia, Japan, etc.

But your link adds the idea of making sizes more proportionate. That is such a toughie that maybe the new angles they used to make things connect more at the right size will be helpful for our understanding, at least as an added option - I like having lots of options. I am especially intrigued by the note underneath the map that " it can be folded into a 3-D globe"!
