First grade week 4 bean seeds question

Unread post by allgrace »

We tried the bean seeds activity twice with beans and they didn't grow! There were little changes, but not much. We changed the paper towel and made sure it was wet and wrapped in foil. I used kidney beans and pinto beans. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Grace,
While you wait for replies, I wonder if you've already read this archived thread?

It sounds like dark and warm are key (similar to the environment of a seed underground), as well as soaking them overnight first? Someone else said "fresh" beans worked better.

Did you already try all of those?

I will try it with fresh beans. I think I will try a zip lock in a dark place. Thanks Julie
