DECLARE vs INVESTIGATE for 9th grader

Unread post by tbird1104 » Thu May 31, 2018 9:36 am

Good morning,

This is my first time on the message board. We started homeschooling in 6th grade. My daughter will be a freshman next year and we still have "Exploration to 1850," and "1850 to Modern Times," left to do. Should we just keep moving forward? Or should we start with the HS curriculum? I just want to make sure that we're doing the right thing. Thank you in advance. Have a blessed day!

You can just start her in the first guide for Declare (Ancient History and Literature) for 9th. She will get a thorough coverage of American history in 11th and 12th grades.

Agree! Start the Ancient History and Literature program. Explorers to 1850 and 1850 to Modern Times are not high school level, and you would have to do a lot of work to beef them up.
