When a high school student is starting My Father's World high school program in the 10th grade we suggest the following: Use Ancient History and Literature in 10th grade, World History and Literature in 11th grade, and US History to 1877/Government in 12th grade. In 12th grade we suggest that your student also complete an additional semester of US History 1877 to present. If a student has done math, science, and English in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade they often have a lighter load in 12th grade. This allows them to easily add this additional semester of US History. The books used for US History 1877 to Present are the same books used in US History to 1877.erialicia wrote:How can I have my soon to be 10th grader catch up with years ONe and Two?
Is is possible to skip the Bible portion of each section? We do have our own Bible program.
Could we start Ancient History then move on to World history and get it all done only using the history and lit portions in 10th grade?
It is difficult to remove the Bible from the programs, though not impossible. Each program for high school is three credits, Bible, English, and history (government). The subjects are integrated together to most effectively teach Biblical worldview as a part of English and history. Our program allows the student to read through the entire Bible verse by verse in AHL and WHL.
